Accepting People with Different Perspectives

The one thing I learned from traveling at a young age was to listen to the views and perspectives of people from different cultures.  I learned at an early age that not everyone wears the same glasses of interpretation. But, I knew early on that the fine line between listening, interpreting, and accepting often got blurred quickly.  How do we accept others who are very different from ourself?  There is no easy solution. In today’s world that blurred line becomes even more shaded in confusion.

The world is never going to agree on all topics.  What we can do is to take time to listen and digest views that are unique to ours and pause before becoming irrational. Emotions are often the downside slope to irrat behavior.

Today, is a good day to listen to others and digest a new, different perspective.  Open your mind to new ideas and your acceptance of others will also open.

Make a difference. Let’s all be a positive influence online. Yes, me too!

Here is an example of Bullying on TripAdvisor. Someone asks about seeing the effects of the lava and where they can see lava flows and DE’s bully him and ridicule him.

Observation of TA Forums

Ive noticed a large drop in participants other than the regulars or DE’s.  In fact, many postings seem to be more of a DE love fest than an interactive forum.  The forum is ruled and controlled by a handful of overly zealous posters more pleased with how many posts they have and getting reinforcemen from their gang of friends.

Changes to Come!

Don't depend on TripAdvisor for where you are going to stay or where you are going to eat. Live on the edge and try something because it looks interesting.

Poverty in the world today. You should feel rich!

According to Money Talk News "71 percent of the world’s population was still considered low-income or poor — meaning they live on $10 a day or less."

According to "Nearly 1/2 of the world’s population — more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty — less than $1.25 a day." and "80% of the world population lives on less than $10 a day."

  • Taxi vs. Uber. Try Uber at least once.

Same Day story of Taxi vs. Uber showed the difference between caring and poor service.
    Who won on this Sunday?
Look at the picture of the Taxi driver texting and talking in column three and you will know the loser.

  • Taxi Driver TEXTING while driving. Believe it!

NYC Taxi driver spends the entire drive from Midtown to LGA texting and talking on the phone.
When arriving at LGA he even drops us off at a dangerous location where NO TAXI is suppose to drop off.
Waiting on the TLC NYC to respond.
